Why Montréal?

Montréal has long been, and continues to be recognized as a safe and welcoming city for 2SLGBTQ+ people. In 2004, Quebec became the fifth place in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. This legacy of openness carries on today, with Montreal having been named the 6th safest city in the world for 2SLGBTQ+ travellers in 2024.

Montreal is a cosmopolitan, vibrant city recognized for its multiculturalism, its countless festivals, its excellent culinary scene, and for being the second-largest francophone city in the world. The city is safe, easy to get around through a variety of means, and constantly has something exciting going on.
